Houston offers no shortage of wedding venues, but few carry the presence and style of The Astorian. Known for its blend of industrial architecture and glamorous finishes, this venue combines history, design, and skyline views that make an immediate statement.
As a Houston wedding planner, I’ve had the opportunity to design weddings at The Astorian, and it continues to be one of my favorite venues to recommend. It’s a space that feels bold, elevated, and anything but standard.
The Astorian is housed in a restored 1926-era building, blending Art Deco style with modern sophistication. From the polished brass finishes and dramatic chandeliers to expansive windows framing the Houston skyline, every element feels intentional.
The venue also offers two getting-ready suites onsite. While one is larger, both are thoughtfully designed. Unlike the cramped “broom closet” spaces some venues provide, these suites give couples and their wedding parties room to relax and enjoy the hours leading up to the ceremony.
When planning a wedding at The Astorian, there are a few things couples should keep in mind:
If you’re drawn to The Astorian’s character, it’s also worth exploring its sister venue, Le Tesserae. While each has its own personality, both share the same design pedigree and reputation for hosting sophisticated Houston weddings.
Having worked at The Astorian, I know how to approach the space so couples can make the most of it. A few things I focus on:
The Astorian isn’t just a venue, it’s an experience in itself. With its architecture, skyline views, and thoughtful amenities, it creates a backdrop for celebrations that feel elevated from the very start.
If The Astorian (or Le Tesserae) is on your list, I’d love to talk with you about how we can make the most of its potential. At Westmore Events, we specialize in luxury wedding planning in Houston, offering concierge-level planning and design for couples who want events that are anything but standard.
The Astorian can host weddings of up to 450 guests for a seated reception, making it one of Houston’s larger luxury venues. The open layout allows for flexible design, whether you’re envisioning an intimate dinner or a grand-scale celebration.
No. The Astorian hosts only one event per day, giving you full exclusivity of the space. From setup through the last song of the night, the entire venue is yours.
