The truth is, the term stuck years ago when large wedding publications popularized it, and many planners still use it today (sometimes even “month-of”) because it’s what most couples recognize.
In reality, yes, wedding management and “day-of coordination” are similar in that we manage the wedding day. However, every planner defines their services differently.
